The Largest Specialty Hospital, one of the world’s largest specialty hospitals, needed to replace its existing authentication vendor with a more cost-effective solution that could support long-term growth. As the hospital expanded its two-factor authentication program into additional departments, it required a flexible, scalable platform that could add 10,000 more users without significantly increasing costs. Entrust was selected to help address this challenge with the Entrust IdentityGuard platform.

Entrust implemented the IdentityGuard platform as a replacement for the hospital’s hardware tokens, later extending it to soft tokens as well. The solution secured 25,000 users while matching the cost the hospital had previously paid for 15,000 users, and no customization was required. With Entrust, the hospital gained easier user registration, multiple authenticators, and self-service capabilities, enabling seamless growth and future expansion.
