Kaba Group, through its Brazilian dealer Task Sistemas, helped corrective lens manufacturer Essilor address the need to print lens specifications in a tight space on durable PVC cards instead of less durable paper cards. Essilor also needed a compact card printer that could handle multiple pre-printed card batches and varying layouts across its laboratories and manufacturing plants.

Entrust Datacard, via Task Sistemas, implemented Datacard CD800 card printers with the optional multi-hopper feature, along with supplies and monthly maintenance service. The solution enabled Essilor to print durable, high-quality PVC cards for its contact lenses and prescription eyeglasses, and Task Sistemas has equipped 15 of Essilor’s 25 facilities in Brazil. The deployment supports Essilor’s annual volume of about 360,000 cards while improving branding and customer information delivery.
