A Entropik Case Study
The leading banking app, a bank based in the Philippines, sought to understand user perceptions and barriers to adoption for its QR payments and Interbank Fund Transfer (IBFT) features. Their challenge was that high feature awareness was not translating into consistent usage. To uncover these behavioral insights, the bank partnered with vendor Entropik to conduct a nationwide quantitative study using its consumer research tools.
Entropik's research identified key barriers, including a user preference for existing payment methods over QR and a general acceptance of the IBFT fee. This provided the bank with three strategic growth levers: optimizing its communication strategy to frame the value proposition, reinforcing security messaging, and creating campaigns to disrupt user habits. The insights enabled the bank to strategically refine its approach to increase transaction volume and feature adoption.
