Why companies should leverage organizational network analysis

Alsephina Consulting, a management consulting firm, sought to help its clients accelerate organizational change by identifying hidden influencers within their companies. The firm partnered with the vendor Entromy to leverage its Organizational Network Analysis (ONA) capabilities, which map informal employee networks to reveal key individuals who are trusted by their peers.

Using Entromy's platform, Alsephina Consulting was able to efficiently analyze communication networks and pinpoint a small set of highly influential change-agents. For example, in one survey of 807 employees, Entromy's analysis identified just 20 key influencers who could reach 70% of the organization through their informal connections. This data-driven approach provided a credible and powerful entry point for change initiatives, allowing leaders to focus their efforts on engaging these trusted individuals to build momentum and secure broader organizational commitment.
