Cardinal Group Management, founded in 2004, manages more than 5,000 student housing and urban infill units nationwide and faces the extreme annual turnover of the student housing market. To maintain occupancy, rates, and NOI they needed a technology partner to streamline leasing and renewals and reduce the time and friction of traditional paper processes.
After piloting Property Solutions’ LeaseExecution™ and SiteTablet® (integrated with Blue Moon), Cardinal rolled the tools out portfolio-wide to enable online signing, auto-populated application data, and mobile in-unit renewals. The result: 85% of leases are now executed online, processing time dropped from about 25 minutes to 5 minutes per lease, an estimated 350+ hours saved in six months across 10 properties, and roughly an 80% response rate to renewal offers — boosting team efficiency and service levels.
