The retail bank Arbejdernes Landsbank sought to meet its ambitious climate goals by reducing energy consumption across its building portfolio. Their challenge was that existing solutions only provided documentation and their facilities team lacked the time to manually identify savings. They turned to vendor Ento for a solution using artificial intelligence to proactively find and prioritize energy savings.

Ento implemented its AI-driven system, which automatically analyzed the bank's consumption, weather, and building data to identify optimizations. These were largely achieved by adjusting settings in the existing Building Management System. As a result, Arbejdernes Landsbank cut its total energy consumption by 20%, saving over 100 tonnes of CO2e annually, with some individual buildings seeing reductions of more than 50%.
