The Danish retail bank Arbejdernes Landsbank faced a challenge with high energy consumption at its branch in Kalundborg, where inefficient building operations, particularly a malfunctioning ventilation system, were causing significant energy waste. The bank partnered with the vendor Ento, which used its artificial intelligence platform to identify and analyze this excessive energy usage.

Ento's AI solution automatically detected the operational fault and later verified the savings after the problem was corrected by optimizing the ventilation system's runtime. Following this, the bank further reduced consumption by installing new energy-efficient ventilation motors. Ento's platform documented total annual energy savings of 45 MWh, which equates to approximately DKK 90,000 and a 67% reduction in the branch's energy consumption.
