Broward Health Medical Center, part of one of the 10 largest health systems in the U.S., was struggling with a complex, poorly performing chiller plant and a history of building automation issues that had forced the facility into full manual control by 2006. Entic was brought in to help identify and address the inefficiencies, using its proprietary SaaS-based technology.
Entic installed data points throughout the facility and used real-time analytics and business intelligence to pinpoint problems and recommend corrective actions. As a result, Broward Health Medical Center improved overall plant kW/ton efficiency by more than 74% and has saved over $1,400,000 in energy costs since 2012, with 85% of the building now under automation and annual energy savings of about 10%.
