Swisscard, the Swiss issuer offering American Express, Mastercard, and Visa cards from one source, needed a better way to authenticate card-not-present transactions. The company wanted to replace one-time passwords, improve the 3-D Secure cardholder experience, reduce abandonment, and keep pace with changing digital payment security regulations. Entersekt helped address these challenges with the Transakt mobile app, working alongside Netcetera.

Entersekt implemented the Transakt mobile app for online payment authentication, and Swisscard became the first European issuer to launch it in 2014. The solution has secured hundreds of thousands of transactions since launch, with no reported fraud losses to date and significantly reduced shopping-cart abandonment.
