Ashnik Migrates Indonesian Bank Off Oracle

Ashnik, a leading Southeast Asian technology consultancy, worked with a top-ten Indonesian bank that had launched a Shariah Banking Practice to meet growing demand for Islamic financial products. The bank needed to roll out a new Shariah application to more than 50 branches and nearly 300 service offices while avoiding the high licensing costs of Oracle and ensuring enterprise-grade performance, scalability and disaster recovery for mission-critical data.

Ashnik recommended and deployed EDB Postgres Advanced Server for its Oracle compatibility, faster migration, and subscription pricing, and added EDB Replication Server for built-in DR. The move cut licensing and maintenance costs, sped implementation, and delivered the scalability and reliability required—allowing the bank to rapidly offer Shariah services across its network, strengthen customer loyalty and maintain a regional competitive advantage.
