Swisslog saves money by acquiring newer, more efficient vehicles

Swisslog, a healthcare solutions company based in Denver, managed a fleet of 122 vehicles and was facing high maintenance costs, poor fuel economy, and unnecessary vehicle feature upgrades that increased purchase prices. To address these issues, Swisslog partnered with Enterprise Fleet Management for fleet management and vehicle acquisition support.

Enterprise Fleet Management analyzed Swisslog’s fleet and recommended changing the make and model of most vehicles to reduce fuel and brake costs while also securing purchase incentives. The results included 19% overall savings, 60% lower brake expenditures, 9% fuel savings, more than $98,000 gained in vehicle resale value, and $1,500–$2,400 saved per vehicle on purchases.
