Sport Chalet builds winning business process with HP infrastructure

Sport Chalet, a full-service specialty sporting goods retailer with more than 50 locations, needed to replace aging legacy systems and support continued growth while meeting Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements. Working with vendor Enterprise Computing Solutions, the company selected SAP ERP 6.0 and built a new infrastructure around HP Integrity servers, HP StorageWorks storage, and related HP services.

The result was a streamlined and standardized technology environment that improved business intelligence, inventory visibility by color/size/location, and pricing by location, while also supporting compliance and future growth; Sport Chalet said the integrated platform helped keep staffing lean, with only one additional technology hire needed.
