SThree, the global STEM recruitment group, needed to transform its largely on-premise IT estate as part of a broader digital strategy. Its existing mix of limited AWS and Azure usage lacked governance and a coordinated operating model, driving rising cloud costs, technical debt, and security risk. Ensono supported the initiative, using Azure Migrate to assess the environment and plan the move.

Ensono implemented a globally deployed hub-and-spoke landing zone architecture across six regions, with Cisco DM VPN networking and Cisco CSRs from the Azure Marketplace, and shifted the plan to a mix of greenfield build and migration, including SQL Server to SQL Managed Instance moves. The result was a future-proofed cloud platform and operating model, reduced technical debt, and ongoing cost and security optimization, with 2 of 6 regions deployed and 50 of 300 VMs already migrated.
