Ensemble Video Enables Asynchronous Learning for 8th Grade Science Teacher

Ensemble Video worked with Jasper Fox Sr., an award‑winning 8th‑grade science teacher who wanted a K–12‑friendly alternative to YouTube to support flipped and asynchronous learning. Jasper needed a distraction‑free way to share short instructional videos, let students upload screencast projects easily, and free class time for small‑group coaching instead of whole‑class lectures.

Using Ensemble’s education‑focused video CMS—embedded playlists, a mobile Video Dropbox, and integration with tools like Camtasia—Jasper built a searchable library of teacher and student videos, archived online classes and digital field trips, and hosted live/recorded support sessions. The platform enabled true asynchronous learning: 100% of his students use the videos (80% watch more than half), access improved for students and parents, uploads were simplified, and class time shifted to targeted, formative instruction.
