Ensemble Video Delivers Anytime, Anywhere Video Across Four Temple University Campuses

Temple University’s Web and Media Services team needed to meet rapidly growing demand for curricular and public video across 17 schools and four campuses serving 37,000+ students. A small team was struggling with manual shooting, editing, encoding and SFTP uploads, and required an easy-to-use, highly available platform that would play on any device, reduce faculty and IT workload, and integrate with existing systems.

Temple implemented Ensemble Video, integrated with Wowza, Echo360, Camtasia Relay and LDAP/SSO, to automate capture, processing and delivery — including mobile uploads to Blackboard, live events, radio streams and captioning for ADA compliance. The rollout centralized access, cut faculty and IT time, expanded use across libraries and departments, and enabled a small support team to provide campuswide, anytime/anywhere video.
