A Enonic Case Study
Gjensidige, Norway's largest insurance company, faced the challenge of integrating their internal React-based design system with the Enonic platform and its Content Studio CMS. They needed a solution that would work seamlessly for their cross-disciplinary teams, give them full control over their code, and allow for the massive undertaking of rolling out a new corporate identity across thousands of pages without forcing an immediate, simultaneous update for all sites.
The solution involved deeply integrating their design system, Builders Core, with Enonic's Content Studio, allowing React components to be used as content parts. This integration, managed by Enonic, enabled the use of feature toggles to smoothly transition all sites to the new design in one operation. The results were significant, with Gjensidige now managing over 2,000 pages across five websites, handling 13 million users annually, and achieving a cohesive brand presence while saving money on development.
