Greenely, an innovative sustainable electricity company, sought to empower consumers to take control of their energy usage and use less energy, particularly during periods of high prices and low renewable availability. Their challenge was to provide users with both the data insights and the automated control needed to manage consumption effectively, starting with their electric vehicles. To achieve this, they partnered with vendor Enode.

By integrating the Enode API and its out-of-the-box Smart Charging module, Enode provided the complex backend infrastructure for accessing energy market data and controlling EV charging. This allowed Greenely to focus on user experience while Enode automatically optimized charging in real-time. The results were significant, with connected EV owners saving an average of 25% on all EV charging costs and one user saving over $25 on a single overnight charge.
