Interface Global, Inc., a leading global maker of modular carpet tiles with over $1 billion in annual sales and a Mission Zero sustainability commitment, set out to turn its 35,000 sq. ft. Acworth office/warehouse into a model, net‑efficient facility. Jeff Roman, VP of Information Services, wanted a networked dashboard to monitor and manage HVAC, lighting and plug loads and to demonstrate ecological and profitable IT and energy solutions to customers.

Interface installed the Enlighted Intelligent Lighting Control System with per‑fixture sensors and features such as task tuning, occupancy detection and daylight harvesting to provide real‑time control and employee‑level customization. The deployment cut lighting energy by about 70% (65% in offices, 88% in the warehouse), delivered overall energy savings of roughly 70%, and achieved a projected 18‑month payback after completion in April 2011.
