A ENGIE Insight Case Study
ENGIE Insight worked with Yellowstone National Park to strengthen the park’s environmental leadership. The park faced the challenge of managing significant energy, water, waste, transportation, and emissions impacts across 1,500 facilities and more than 3 million annual visitors, and it wanted to move beyond isolated sustainability measures to an integrated environmental initiative.
ENGIE Insight’s Sustainability Team completed a comprehensive assessment including a GHG inventory, facility audits, resource analyses, waste review, water system assessment, stakeholder interviews, and best-practice research to build Yellowstone’s Environmental Stewardship Initiative. The plan included 67 recommended projects and delivered estimated annual benefits of 5,138.7 MTCO2e in GHG reductions, 56 million gallons of water savings, 576 tons of waste diverted, and $1,301,500 in operational cost reductions.
