Arby’s Restaurant Group partnered with ENGIE Insight to address rising energy costs and the lack of a comprehensive energy management plan. Energy was Arby’s third-largest controllable expense, and the company needed a clearer view of its cost drivers and opportunities to improve operational efficiency across its restaurants.
ENGIE Insight used its Blueprint™ Framework, stakeholder interviews, utility data analysis, and energy and water audits to build a strategic energy management plan for Arby’s. The work identified more than $5.5 million in potential annual savings, over $1 million in projected annual savings from equipment schedule changes, and a capital expense proposal with a 97% internal rate of return that was approved by the board.
