National Bank of Arizona Gets Strategic About Energy Management

National Bank of Arizona needed a better way to understand and manage utility spending across more than 70 branches. Previously, utility bills were handled centrally with little visibility into electric, natural gas, and water usage, making it difficult to forecast budgets, spot anomalies, or identify savings opportunities. The bank turned to ENGIE Insight and its Utility Expense and Data Management solution to gain clearer insight into its energy data.

ENGIE Insight gathered and organized historical and ongoing utility invoice data, giving National Bank of Arizona meter-level visibility, year-over-year comparisons, and proactive alerts. With this information, the bank approved a $1.5 million solar project, used data to justify a $373,000 net cost after rebates and tax credits, and quickly implemented additional lighting and HVAC upgrades. ENGIE Insight also helped the bank detect and resolve issues such as a faulty meter, a gas leak, and a broken water line, improving cost control and supporting a stronger sustainability strategy.
