Energy Management Initiative Reduces Costs and Consumption

Newmark Grubb Knight Frank (NGKF) partnered with ENGIE Insight to help a national commercial real estate client integrate energy management into its portfolio-wide facility operations. The challenge was to consolidate regional data, improve visibility into energy spend, and manage a growing number of distributed sites across the country.

ENGIE Insight provided energy and data management services, including data collection, validation, auditing, payment support, reporting, and rate analysis. Working with NGKF, ENGIE Insight helped identify billing discrepancies, optimize utility rates, negotiate contracts, and support efficiency upgrades, resulting in about **$295,700 in annual cost avoidance**, no late charges since 2009, and **2% to 8% reductions in energy consumption** across the portfolio.
