G6 Hospitality, the operator of more than 1,100 Motel 6 and Studio 6 properties across North America, needed a better way to manage energy consumption across a widely distributed workforce. With weather and occupancy making site-to-site comparisons difficult, the company turned to ENGIE Insight for utility expense auditing, payment, and property-level energy tracking tools.

ENGIE Insight implemented an Energy Dashboard and Outlier Investigation program to give G6 Hospitality managers visibility into utility usage, flag anomalies, and guide troubleshooting. The solution helped detect and resolve 619 water and gas leaks in just over a year, with ENGIE Insight identifying leaks about 90 days earlier on average than G6 Hospitality could on its own, driving approximately $1.1 million in utility cost avoidance.
