Telstra faced the challenge of adapting to rapid shifts in technology and customer expectations, using a flagship Sydney Discovery Store to showcase how digital can enhance the physical retail experience and reflect company values. Engagis partnered with Telstra to design this “Store of the Future,” using digital signage and interactive customer applications built on the Microsoft Windows 10 platform.

Engagis implemented giant curved digital screens, a Sandbox tabletop and interactive self-discovery tools to create a consistent, secure phygital experience; these solutions form the basis of Telstra’s Future Retail Environment (FRE). The Sydney store’s success has driven a rollout across 400+ Telstra locations over the next five years, delivering measurable results for Engagis and Telstra in improved ROI, increased sales and stronger customer advocacy.
