WaterAid faced the challenge of creating a compelling campaign for the difficult topic of sanitation to engage supporters and raise awareness for World Toilet Day. They partnered with the vendor Engaging Networks to implement a solution.
Engaging Networks provided the tools for a successful campaign, including a powerful landing page with an XML actions feed for social proof and an Email to MP tool. The solution involved a highly shareable video and a strategic use of social media, including Thunderclap. The results were significant: the campaign page received over 32,000 visitors, far exceeding the 15,000 target. Over 5,000 people shared the page on social media, and the campaign reached hundreds of thousands of people, successfully attracting many new supporters for WaterAid.
