UNHCR Canada’s New Ecommerce Experience

UNHCR Canada, the UN Refugee Agency, faced a challenge with its virtual gift shop operating on Shopify, which lacked integration with its primary supporter database on the Engaging Networks platform. This disconnect prevented a complete view of donor interactions. Their goal was to migrate the shop to Engaging Networks' new eCommerce module before the year-end 2019 giving season to create a more unified and engaging donor experience.

Engaging Networks' accredited partner, Zuri Group, implemented the solution by heavily customizing the eCommerce module. They enabled UNHCR staff to easily manage all gift shop content without a developer and customized PDF eCard functionality. The result was a fully integrated system for Engaging Networks that provides a complete picture of donor actions, allowing for more targeted outreach and marketing automations directly within the platform.
