Refugee Action, a UK charity supporting refugees and asylum seekers, wanted to show deep appreciation for its supporters in a personalized, non-generic way after a year of high engagement. They worked with vendor Engaging Networks, leveraging its CRM, email, and data export functionality, to achieve this goal.

Engaging Networks, in collaboration with a partner agency, implemented a "Year in Review" solution inspired by Spotify Wrapped. This involved a web app that integrated with Engaging Networks' data to create personalized digital summaries for each supporter, detailing their specific impact. The results were significant, with a subsequent Christmas appeal seeing a 54% increase in donation rate and an 84% increase in average gift value, while overall email open rates improved by 3-6%.
