SL Green, the largest commercial office landlord in New York City, wanted to reduce operating costs at its high-rise properties without compromising the performance of its highly skilled engineering team. At 919 Third Avenue, a 47-story, 1.4 million-square-foot Midtown Manhattan building with $3.8 million in annual utility spend, SL Green turned to Enertiv and its platform to better quantify overtime HVAC costs and support more data-driven decision-making.

Using the Enertiv Platform and Enertiv 360 solution, SL Green’s engineering team tracked real-time HVAC operating costs and identified several optimization opportunities, including shifting interior supply fan start times and adding VFDs to pumps.
