Improving Customer and Implementer Satisfaction With Automated Workflow and Better Data

National Grid, a major electric and gas utility serving millions of customers in Massachusetts, New York, and Rhode Island, needed better transparency, data access, and control across its residential energy efficiency program while reducing contractor burden and improving the customer experience. To address these challenges, National Grid selected EnergySavvy’s Workflow Automation (WFA) platform, along with energy modeling capabilities, to create a single system of record for its Home Energy Services program.

EnergySavvy implemented an automated workflow and modeling solution that centralized data, streamlined audits, generated pre-populated forms, improved reporting, and reduced manual administrative work for contractors and utility staff. The results included faster eligibility validation, shorter turnaround times, quicker invoicing, and better real-time program visibility; contractors also reported cutting training time by 50% and reducing data collection time by about 20 minutes per modeled home.
