InterGen launches new ETRM system in 10 months with EnergyOne

Global power generation company InterGen required a new Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) system to optimize its power trading in the UK. After a selection process, they chose vendor Energy One to deliver this solution.

Energy One, with support from Baringa Partners, implemented its enTrader® ETRM system in a ten-month project. The joint team designed a new trading model and the system went live successfully in June 2019. The results include enhanced trading, risk management, and regulatory reporting capabilities for InterGen’s portfolio, including real-time position management for its gas plants, and a future-proofed system that can incorporate new assets like a 300MW plant at Spalding.
