A EnergyCAP Case Study
AFL, an international manufacturer serving energy, enterprise, hyperscale, and industrial markets, was under increasing pressure to improve sustainability while manually managing nearly 200 utility accounts. This labor-intensive process consumed about 36 hours per month and slowed its ability to respond to stakeholder expectations and sustainability goals. EnergyCAP Utility Management and related sustainability tools were brought in to streamline utility data management.
EnergyCAP automated nearly 98% of AFL’s utility data entry, improved bill auditing and usage alerts, and provided transparent dashboards for stakeholders. As a result, AFL identified an estimated $304,000 in annual energy and utility savings, including $3,300 from a natural gas leak, $10,700 from water leaks, $170,000 from 29 energy and sustainability projects, and $120,000 from rate structure reviews. EnergyCAP also helped AFL save 36 labor hours per month and improve reporting speed from 6+ months to within a month.
