How HoWest University leverages the usage of Energis.Cloud

HoWest University, a Kortrijk-based academic institute offering an energy management program, needed a way to both train students on real-world energy-management tools and accurately quantify the ROI of its energy conservation measures across a volatile mix of electricity, PV and natural gas. To meet this challenge HoWest partnered with Energis SA and deployed the Energis.Cloud energy management software to monitor consumption and production and support classroom and internship-based learning.

Energis SA implemented Energis.Cloud campus-wide, combining dashboards, anomaly detection and reporting with hands-on student training so teams could analyze data, compare buildings and present quantified savings to management. The work produced measurable impact: €209,750 in financial savings from improved self-consumption (2022 vs 2021), €98,117 in cogeneration self-consumption savings, and a +98.54% increase in cogeneration kW‑electric self-production, while making savings transparent for decision-makers.
