AZ Groeninge Hospital challenges solved and opportunities created through Energis.Cloud

AZ Groeninge, a large hospital in Kortrijk with a 140,000 m² main campus, faced the challenge of managing and controlling complex energy flows across HVAC, PV systems and medical equipment. With support from Ingenium, the hospital selected Energis SA’s Energis.Cloud energy management platform to consolidate vast amounts of data and provide precise, real‑time monitoring and control.

Using Energis SA’s Energis.Cloud to track large consumers and optimize solar self‑consumption, AZ Groeninge identified waste, implemented targeted measures, and monitored outcomes via dashboards. The results: despite a 20% campus expansion in 2020, consumption was brought back to 2015 levels and electricity use fell 23% in 2023, with solar capacity reaching 3.1 MWp in 2024.
