How does Brient control the energy consumption of its plants on a daily basis thanks with Energiency

Brient, a French charcuterie producer and part of the Agrial group, faced the challenge of reducing its energy consumption by 10% by 2025 in line with its parent company's collective objective. Already ISO 50001 certified, the company needed a solution to gain better daily control over the energy use at its two production plants. Brient partnered with vendor Energiency, which provided its online energy management platform and data science expertise to address this challenge.

Energiency implemented a three-phase solution, first installing and connecting meters to monitor electricity, gas, and water. The vendor’s platform then collected this data along with production information from Brient’s ERP to calculate energy performance indicators. The solution provided real-time monitoring, daily reports, and email alerts for consumption drifts. This allowed Brient’s teams to quickly identify and address issues, such as preventing a breakdown in a cold production system. The measurable impact is actively being quantified in the project's third phase to determine the exact energy savings achieved from these efficiency actions.
