eBay worked with Energage as it navigated major change following its 2015 spin-off from PayPal and needed to strengthen and clarify its independent brand, especially in the growing Austin office. To support employee engagement and build stronger ties to the local community, eBay used the Energage Survey to gather feedback and identify ways to align its workplace culture with its brand.
With Energage, eBay Austin empowered employee committees focused on branding, social innovation, and engagement, giving them resources, budgets, and accountability to drive participation internally and externally. The approach helped create “powerful momentum,” contributed to eBay’s recognition as a Top Workplace for three consecutive years, and lifted Austin’s engagement score to 9% above the Information Technology benchmark, according to the 2016 Energage Survey.
