Top Workplace CP Federal Credit Union Builds on Its Cultural Strength

CP Federal Credit Union, a Jackson, Michigan financial institution known for its strong internal culture and Top Workplace recognition, wanted to preserve that culture while identifying gaps in employee engagement across departments. To do that, it turned to Energage and its Top Workplaces employee survey program to gather feedback and benchmark organizational health.

Using Energage’s survey data, CP Federal paired quantitative results with focus groups and interviews to uncover issues such as uneven engagement, frontline stress, and manager development needs. The company then created an Engagement Scorecard, improved communication and leadership training, and began streamlining workflows with a new loan origination system. Participation in focus groups increased from 33% to 42%, and the effort helped CP Federal strengthen its culture, retain employees, and continue earning Top Workplace and community recognition.
