Weymouth Club, a 100,000-square-foot multi-recreational health club outside Boston, was paying above-market electricity rates and needed a better way to manage its energy costs as its contract neared expiration. The club turned to Enel X for help navigating a complex deregulated energy market and reducing its annual 2 million kWh electricity load.

Enel X analyzed the club’s usage and ran a sealed-bid auction with seven suppliers to compare one-, two-, and three-year supply offers. The result was a 50% reduction in electricity supply costs and a three-year contract expected to save Weymouth Club more than $400,000 overall.
