Glenwood Management Earns Demand Response Revenue, Reduces Energy Costs With Intelligent Energy Storage

Glenwood Management, a major New York City owner and manager of luxury multifamily buildings, wanted to improve sustainability while managing the impact of grid stress, rising electricity costs, and peak demand events. To address these challenges, Glenwood partnered with Enel X and used its DEN.OS intelligent energy storage optimization platform to support demand response participation and better control energy use across its portfolio.

Enel X implemented behind-the-meter battery storage and solar-plus-storage systems across 13 Glenwood buildings, including co-optimization for demand charge reduction, energy arbitrage, and demand response. The result was a scalable virtual power plant that helped Glenwood earn demand response revenue, reduce energy costs, and improve resiliency, while also providing Con Edison with more flexible, location-based grid support.
