Beacon Capital Deploys Enel X Energy Intelligence Software to Manage Energy Programs and Drive Best Practices

Beacon Capital Partners, a private real estate investment firm with a $30 billion portfolio, was looking for a better way to manage energy across its commercial office buildings and support its sustainability goals. The company needed real-time visibility into building energy use so it could identify low- or no-cost opportunities to reduce costs and improve performance. Beacon turned to Enel X and its energy intelligence software (EIS) as part of its demand response enrollment.

Enel X provided Beacon with real-time energy data, reporting tools, and professional services to uncover operational energy efficiency measures across 45 sites. By adjusting HVAC startup times, optimizing “energy coasting,” and eliminating unnecessary nighttime baseload, Beacon identified millions of dollars in annual savings, including about $30,000 at one property and over $200,000 in annual savings from another issue. According to Beacon, Enel X helped the company save several million dollars a year while requiring almost no upfront cost.
