Packaging Systems Prints High Volumes of Shipping Labels

Packaging Systems (PSLLC), a division of PPC and an OTC-, FDA-, DEA-, DMD- and DOD-approved fulfillment house serving food, pharmaceutical, personal care and household brands, was tasked in November 2005 with stuffing 30 CDs into counter displays and shipping roughly 15,000 packages nationwide via Priority Mail in just days. The job required rapid address validation from a large address list, printing two-part doc‑tab labels (with tracking on the tab) and fast, accurate batch processing to meet tight deadlines.

Endicia’s support team and software enabled PSLLC to import and batch-process the shipment list, automatically validate and correct addresses to ZIP+4, flag unvalidated records for client review, and map variable fields so tracking printed on the tab portion of doc‑tab labels. Paired with four Zebra LP 2844 thermal printers, PSLLC printed nearly 15,000 smudge‑free labels in days, achieving the speed and accuracy required to complete the nationwide mailing.
