Olympia Sports, a 155‑store sporting goods retailer in New England, New York and Pennsylvania, needed a way to fulfill free ship‑to‑home orders found via its inventory locator without costly store‑to‑store transfers or accounting headaches. The challenge was to generate postage and verify addresses at the point of sale and at the distribution center while centralizing postage billing across many locations.

Endicia’s API was integrated into Olympia’s Store21 POS by DataVantage in under three months, enabling in‑store and DC label generation with automatic address verification and a single shared postage account for all 155 stores. The solution supports 125–150 daily shipments, cut shipping costs by about 45% versus the prior carrier, and added automated USPS Package Pickup notifications that report counts and weights and arrange free pickups.
