Half Price Books, a family-owned bookseller founded in 1972 with 120 stores across 16 states and an extensive online presence, moved online in 2007 and needed to simplify and scale operations. The company faced the challenge of syncing inventory and orders across 120 locations, multiple marketplaces (eBay, Amazon, Alibris, AbeBooks), and warehouses while handling large seasonal spikes and millions of annual shipments.

Half Price Books deployed Monsoon Commerce’s Marketplace solution for inventory, marketplace integration, order management and dynamic repricing, and integrated it with Endicia for label generation, address verification and carrier selection (USPS/DHL). The combined solution consolidated 120 stores into a single shipping account, supported more than 2 million packages in a year and absorbed 100% seasonal order spikes, enabling streamlined, cost-effective fulfillment and continued year-over-year growth.
