Case Study: Goodwill Industries achieves scalable, time-saving eCommerce fulfillment with Endicia

A Endicia Case Study

Preview of the Goodwill Industries Case Study

Goodwill Industries Efficiently Processes eCommerce Orders

Goodwill Industries of San Francisco, San Mateo and Marin Counties sells donated clothing, jewelry and other goods online and in 17 retail stores to fund job-training and placement services. As online sales grew from about five orders a day to as many as 1,000, the eCommerce team struggled to keep up with fulfillment and shipping, creating a bottleneck that threatened service levels and revenue.

Endicia’s API integrated directly with Goodwill’s order systems to automate label generation and postage in about five seconds, cutting more than 4.5 minutes per order and eliminating manual re-entry and trips to the post office via daily USPS pickup under a single barcode. Automated features like customer notifications, customized labels and electronic customs forms helped Goodwill handle nearly 100% order growth, process high daily volumes, and stay on track to exceed its $2.5M annual revenue goal.
