Case Study: Resilient Building Council achieves bushfire resilience insights with Endava

Technology that empowers collective action around building climate resilient properties

Resilient Building Council (RBC) partnered with Endava to turn its Bushfire Resilience Rating and recommendation model into a self-assessment app for homeowners. The goal was to make it easy for people to measure their home’s bushfire risk and receive tailored recommendations, while creating a product that could scale in a new market.

Endava used a venture design and product discovery approach, co-designing the platform with RBC experts and more than 1,000 community members, then building it on a serverless AWS full-stack architecture. The result was a fast, scalable app that enabled rapid content iteration and low operating costs, reached more than 4,000 users in its first month, and produced assessment quality comparable to a professional review.
