Smart Energy Firm's Meter Data Management System Improves with Performance Lab

Smart Energy Firm partnered with Endava to address performance and productivity issues in its Meter Data Management System (MDMS). As the company introduced new features and configuration changes, it became harder to analyze problems in real production environments and to understand how the system would behave under heavy data loads.

Endava set up a performance lab with two systems: one for isolated component testing and another long-running environment that simulated daily operations at scale. Endava also introduced testing processes, performance planning, and monitoring using tools such as Oracle RDBMS and CPU/memory and disk management utilities. The result was clearer release readiness decisions, improved system performance and reliability, and better visibility into scalability issues before production.
