Imagine Newcastle Moving Talent to a Progressive, Regional City

The City of Newcastle partnered with Endava to support its “Imagine Newcastle” campaign, aimed at attracting millennial and Gen Z professionals to the regional Australian city. As Newcastle’s economy grew and specialist roles increased, the local workforce could not fill the demand, so the city needed a better way to showcase relocation opportunities, lifestyle benefits, and affordability. Endava helped define the challenge through user research with previous movers and identified that incentives alone were less important than career and lifestyle factors.

Endava designed and delivered a Kentico-based content site with over 20 custom reusable components, giving City of Newcastle a flexible platform for adding new pages and features quickly. The site included advanced front-end experiences such as animated icons, scrolling color transitions, and masonry layouts to reflect the city’s creative identity. The result was a stronger digital funnel and growth in lead generation, along with a full journey from discovery research through to prototyping, testing, design, and delivery.
