Freenet TV, one of Germany’s largest DVB-TV2 providers with more than 1 million customers, needed to upgrade its self-service portal to improve communication with both existing subscribers and new prospects. Endava was brought in to help modernize the customer experience and simplify account management, including support for payments and a better user journey.
Endava reimagined the portal using an agile approach, building both front-end and back-end functionality, integrating Google Cloud hosting, and adding features such as a shop and payment solution, partner profile management, and self-service options like pause-instead-of-cancel. The result was a responsive, mobile-capable platform that improved customer service and conversion, and the Freenet TV platform later won the German Design Award for Excellent Communications Design and Interactive User Experience in 2020.
