STERIS Corporation turned to Endai Worldwide in fall 2009 to help it grow online and email marketing results and convert more traditional customers to online buying through PlayBook. A baseline review showed 56,521 homepage visits, but only 13% of visitors moved from the homepage to the store, where the economic value was.

Endai used Google Analytics, site optimization, and experience analysis to study visitor behavior and navigation patterns, then recommended adding a “SHOP NOW” button, using icons and text in navigation, and placing more store access points in the central navigation panel. After implementation, STERIS saw 68,186 site visits in 30 days, 33% of visitors clicked the new navigation features to reach the store, and conversion rates increased by 30%; revenue rose to $1,281,338, with Endai attributing 5% of that gain to the marketing experiment.
