Dave & Buster’s, the national restaurant and entertainment chain, wanted a simple, cost-effective way to reduce HVAC energy spend across more than 145 locations without adding burden to its lean facilities team. The company needed better visibility into HVAC uptime and performance, plus a way to remotely monitor and control energy use while dealing with kitchens, large guest areas, and staff overrides of corporate set points.
Encycle implemented its Swarm Logic cloud-based HVAC optimization platform across Dave & Buster’s enterprise, integrating with smart thermostats and supporting maintenance insights, utility incentives, and demand response participation. Encycle’s solution helped Dave & Buster’s save $1,236,460 annually, reduce HVAC electricity use by 7,430,000 kWh, lower peak electric demand by 135,750 kW, and cut carbon emissions by 6,836 tons.
