National Retail Pet Store Chain worked with Encycle to improve HVAC efficiency across five Southern California stores. The pet retailer faced the challenge of reducing energy costs and demand spikes while maintaining comfortable conditions and multiple “micro-climates” for animals throughout each store.

Encycle deployed its Swarm Logic solution, integrating with the customer’s existing EMS to optimize HVAC startup and operation. The result was more than $31,469 in annual energy savings, a 136,956 kWh reduction in HVAC electricity use, and up to a 20% reduction in peak demand per site, all while maintaining proper store and animal comfort.
